  • Statement:

Like all of us, I care deeply about the service KPFK provides to the LA area. Like all of us running to serve on the board, I would like to contribute to the sound governance and financial management of our shared community resource.

Enabling an organization to make consistent progress towards its mission statement is a Board’s core responsibility. I have witnessed both effective and ineffective board operations (as a staff member and as a board member) and I will constantly strive to participate in board discussions and help make decisions as collaborative part of a whole.

I have spent the last 20 years in LA working in variety of roles in social sector programming. I have worked as a policy researcher at UCLA, manager of a corporate philanthropy, a monitoring and evaluation expert for the US Department of State and the Ukrainian Ministry of Health, and am currently employed as the head of partnerships and operations for a technology firm that creates economic indices in emerging markets. An important constant in my varied experience is the identification of synergies amongst diverse stakeholders and the development of collaborative and effective solutions.
