My name is Rob Macon. I currently serve on the KPFK Local Station Board. With the current Board members who are also serving on the KPFK LSB, together we have made extraordinary accomplishments in setting KPFK/Pacifica back on a path to solvency, increasing KPFK listenership, strengthening KPFK’s financial status and encouraging better programming. But we ran out of time.
We need to finish the excellent work we’ve started. To do that, we encourage you to “VOTE” for the current LSB members found at “CandidateSlate.org”. Anything other than that could mean starting all over. Perhaps never finishing the progress we started. It’s too risky and may cost KPFK and Pacifica millions of dollars. In what ways are the station moving in a positive direction, that you would want to continue or perhaps improve?
The station (KPFK) is moving in a positive direction by hiring a new General Manager, by starting a dialog for increasing the listeners and improving fund raising strategies.
